Reports shared on X by journalist and attorney Meghann Cunniff indicate that Megan’s lawyers are seeking access to Cooper’s messages across various platforms such as Discord, WhatsApp, and iMessages.
The deposition of Cooper occurred on July 14th this year.
The Foundation of the Lawsuit
The legal action began in late 2024 when Megan accused Cooper of orchestrating a “harassment campaign” linked to Tory Lanez’s arrest for shooting incidents involving her.Lanez was convicted at the end of 2022 for his involvement and is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence.
The consequences of Online Abuse
In the aftermath of the shooting incident and during subsequent trials, Megan endured persistent online harassment from numerous commenters—including alleged claims from Lanez himself—who suggested she fabricated her account or misidentified her attacker. As a prominent figure on social media platforms, cooper has been characterized by Megan’s attorneys as an advocate for Lanez due to her propagation of misleading narratives about him online.
“Its incredibly disheartening how far some individuals will go out of their way to harm me when they see me thriving,” Megan stated on X back in 2024. “You all are crossing boundaries here—this isn’t acceptable! Just know today marks your last day playing games with me; I mean it.”
Pursuing Justice Amid Evidence Tampering Concerns
Megan’s legal team is also probing potential tampering with critical evidence; however, no court ruling has yet been issued regarding this matter.
Date & Deadline:The order was issued on July 25th, giving Cooper thirty days to comply with this payment requirement.
