Wayne Lozinak, the guitarist for the band Hatebreed, has recently been diagnosed wiht a benign meningioma, which is a non-cancerous tumor located in the brain. In light of this advancement, Hatebreed has appointed bassist Matt Bachand to take over guitar responsibilities while Wayne focuses on his health. “Let’s rally some support for Wayne Lozinak. On June 14th, during the Salvage Festival, he began noticing subtle symptoms that raised alarms about a possible stroke. Out of an abundance of caution, he sought medical help upon arriving in lille, France. A CT scan conducted at the emergency room confirmed the presence of a brain tumor, leading to his immediate hospitalization for further evaluation.
“Following an extensive 24-hour assessment that included an MRI scan, it was steadfast that the tumor is indeed a benign meningioma—a slow-growing mass likely present for several years. Given these circumstances, we are incredibly relieved by WayneS prognosis.
“Wayne will be heading back to the United States to prepare for surgery and concentrate on rest and recovery. His resilience and determination remain strong as he aims to rejoin Hatebreed once he’s well enough.we truly appreciate all the love and support from fans, friends, and everyone in the music community during this difficult time.
