Intensely personal and hauntingly resonant, the latest album from Greyhaven, titled Deal with It Soundless, released on Friday, October 10th, offers a unique blend of post-hardcore infused with metal influences. This album explores deeply personal subjects such as love, homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles. Vocalist Brent Mills articulates his vision for the lyrics: “I aimed to be transparent and vulnerable. I’ve moved away from vague expressions. For the first time, we’re exposing everything openly. I tackle topics that were once too sensitive for me… but now I’m ready to confront them.”
Pushing boundaries in soundscapes and dynamics beyond their previous projects, Greyhaven’s new release is both daring and unyielding—from the opening track “Prelude: Evening Star” to the final piece “Cemetery Sun.” The album has received accolades from prominent outlets such as kerrang!, Rock Sound, Distorted Sound Journal, and Lambgoat. This is undoubtedly an album worth diving into in the upcoming days.
