In a recent proclamation on their official Facebook page, the legendary metal group Sodom shared the sad news of the death of their former drummer, Guido Richter, affectionately known as “Atomic Steif“. He passed away last week at the age of 57.
The Metal Archives indicates that Richter was born in 1967 and died on August 30th.
The poignant message from Sodom read:
“Dear Sodomaniacs,
I received word today that our former drummer, “Atomic Steif“, has departed from us as of last week.
The details surrounding his passing remain uncertain at this time.
Please rest in peace, my friend…”

Richter’s musical legacy includes contributions to two albums and one EP withSodom between 1993 and 1995. He also collaborated with other prominent bands such asAssassin ,< strong >Living Death , and< strong >Violent Force .
