The Anticipation Builds for Cardi B’s New Album
>
Cardi B continues to generate excitement around her forthcoming album, titled *AM I THE DRAMA?*. On August 11, she revealed that the next single from this highly anticipated project will be “Imaginary Gamers.”
Ahead of its release on August 15, the Grammy-winning artist shared striking cover art featuring herself in front of a pristine white Rolls-Royce while draped in a matching fur coat. In her social media post, she teased fans with the phrase, “Just a little taste of the drama.”
Fans have quickly noted that this new song shares its name with one of JAY-Z’s tracks from *In My Lifetime, Vol. 1*. Whether or not there is an actual sample involved remains uncertain; however, answers are just around the corner.
The journey towards *AM I THE DRAMA?* has been extensive—seven years in fact. Back in June, Cardi released an initial teaser stating emphatically: “I’m not back; I’m beyond. I’m not your villain; I’m your karma. The time has come.” She followed up by announcing both the title and cover art for her upcoming album.
To date, she has already introduced listeners to two tracks: “Outside” and another song showcased at WWE SummerSlam.
In one snippet from her latest work, she raps:
“I’m hyped at this event / My energy is electric / She moves and grooves for me / These ladies crave some Cardi.”
A Packed Tracklist Awaits Fans
The forthcoming album promises an impressive collection of songs totaling twenty-three tracks—including fan favorites like “WAP” and “Up.” Earlier this year in June, Cardi explained why these hits are included: “My supporters have been urging me to feature them on an album because they’ve been anticipating their presence since [*Invasion of Privacy*].” She emphasized their significance by stating they deserve their own space within her discography.
Anticipation builds as *AM I THE DRAMA?* gears up for its streaming debut on September 19. While we await further details regarding collaborations or features on this project—SZA might have already hinted at joining forces with Cardi after commenting on Instagram saying, “Let me send you this verse!”
