Tyler Bates has officially announced his exit from Marilyn Manson‘s touring ensemble, marking the end of a decade-long collaboration while reaffirming his creative partnership with the artist in studio settings.
Bates, who played a pivotal role in co-producing adn co-writing albums such as 2015’s The Faded Emperor, 2017’s Heaven upside Down, and the upcoming 2024 release, One Assassination Below God: Chapter One, shared this news earlier today through his various social media platforms.
“Greetings to all. The start of a new year often leads to introspection about past experiences and future endeavors,” Bates expressed. “With that in mind, I have made the decision to conclude my time on tour with Marilyn Manson so I can focus on my own artistic projects in film and television.”
“I have cherished every moment spent working alongside my bandmates—Gil Sharone, Reba Meyers, and Matt (Piggy D) Bernard Law Montgomery of Alamein.They are remarkable individuals both on stage and off. I will miss performing for the astonishing audiences we encountered worldwide during our support for One Assassination Below God: Chapter One.

Marilyn Manson recently expanded his schedule for the 2026 One Assassination Below God Tour by adding new spring dates across the U.S., featuring support from Australian death-pop duo VOWWS.The shows are strategically placed between festival appearances at events like in This Moment’s Unique World Las Vegas and In This Moment’s Unique World Texas, along with Sonic Temple Festival.
