Shocking Departure: Vitriol’s key members Leave the Band
In an unexpected twist, guitarist Keith Merrow, drummer Andy Vincenzetti, and bassist Brett Leier have officially parted ways with the band Vitriol. This significant change followed a heated confrontation with lead vocalist Kyle Rasmussen, which culminated in their abandonment at a gas station in Vermont. Merrow did not hold back his emotions, declaring: “Myself, Andy, Brett, and Matt can no longer endure Kyle’s cowardly outbursts of misplaced anger. We invested everything we had into this project, and now you’re left with nothing. This is a mass exodus. Today marks the lowest point of my musical journey.”
A Response to Controversy on Social Media
Merrow took to Instagram to address Rasmussen’s extensive two-part video response—accessible through this link: here.. In his post, he succinctly stated that “Kyle is not good” and pointed out that many former members have exited under similar circumstances, labeling it as “the same old story for every victim of his mistreatment.”
“To everyone reading this – myself, Brett, and Andy left Vitriol because Kyle is simply not good. That’s all there is to it; no need for an elaborate two-part video description,” he elaborated. “He has irrationally yelled at our entire team multiple times until we could no longer tolerate it—just like the other nineteen who have walked away from this failing endeavor. What more needs to be said? It mirrors every other victim of his abuse.”
A New Beginning Amidst Adversity
Merrow expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he received over the past day from fans during this challenging time. He noted that despite these unfortunate events, there was a silver lining: “I met Brett and Andy; we are moving forward together as a new band under a different name as we genuinely care for one another.” He also mentioned plans to collaborate with skilled sound engineers in their upcoming project.
Kyle Rasmussen’s GoFundMe Campaign for Assistance
Kyle Rasmussen has launched a GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising funds for transportation back home after being stranded due to recent developments within the band.
“My name is Kyle,” he shared on his fundraising page. “I’m reaching out for help following an unforeseen series of events.” He detailed how while touring alongside Maggie (his partner) and their dog Ghost they found themselves abandoned at a gas station in upstate New York after an altercation left them without resources or means of returning home.
“Since being left behind we’ve had no choice but to rely on strangers’ generosity just to get by,” he continued earnestly. “The past day has been incredibly challenging as I’ve tried my best to keep Maggie and Ghost safe while figuring out how we can make our way back home.” Despite feeling overwhelmed by uncertainty, he expressed determination.
“The funds raised will go directly towards securing either rental or affordable used vehicle along with fuel costs food expenses lodging needed for our journey back home,” he stated sincerely.” I wouldn’t ask if it were just me but I need ensure Maggie & Ghost stay safe & healthy any help tho small would mean everything right now Thank you so much for taking time read our story & considering helping us get back home.”< /P >
