The iconic Norwegian black metal band Mayhem is actively ⁣engaged in ‍the creation of their⁣ next album, following the release of⁢ their 2019 work, Daemon. While details remain⁣ limited, guitarist Teloch has confirmed​ that they are deep into the writing and pre-production phases.

Teloch,‌ a pivotal figure in shaping the band’s artistic direction over the past ⁤decade, recently shared an insightful⁤ update via social media: “The reason for my ‍absence here thes past few months: I’m focused on new material for Mayhem. My mind is overloaded. Guitars, bass lines, drum patterns, ‌vocal arrangements—its ⁤all consuming.”

However, it’s important to‍ note that Mayhem hasn’t​ been idle as ⁤releasing Daemon. In 2021, they put out the EP titled Atavistic Shaded Disorder ‍/ Kommando, which featured a blend of previously‌ unreleased ⁢tracks from the​ sessions of *Daemon* alongside punk covers from influential bands like Discharge,Ineffective Kennedys , andThe Ramones.

This year saw them release a live album called ​ Daemonic ​Rites ,showcasing performances from their tours​ between 2019 and 2022. This compilation includes both tracks from *Daemon* and also fan-favorite classics‍ from their extensive discography. Looking ahead, ‌they have several shows lined up for August:
